ABOUT ME & MY APPROACH

Hi, my name is Sophie, and I am a BABCP-accredited High Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapist, with a background and registration as a mental health nurse. I have 10 years of experience working in the NHS.

I offer evidence-based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) for a range of common mental health problems, including:

  • Low mood

  • Depression

  • Anxiety problems

  • Social anxiety

  • Panic

  • Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)

  • Phobias

  • Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)

  • Body Dysmorphic Disorder

  • Perfectionism

  • Low self-esteem

What is CBT?

  • What you THINK, and what you DO, influences how you FEEL.

  • It is an active, structured, time limited and present focused talking therapy.

  • Home practice or Intention in between session is required to move through sessions.

My approach is person-centred, compassionate, and evidence based. I use questionnaires as part of the treatment to help guide your journey.
